On 21 February 2018, in the presence of the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Jadwiga Emilewicz, Silesian University of Technology and Katowice Special Economic Zone Co. signed a consortium agreement establishing Silesian  Competence Centre of  Industry 4.0. The Centre will promote the Industry 4.0 concept and support companies in the process of digital transformation.
